ABOUT BELMONT RACING TIPS
Belmont Park Racecourse is Perth's second major metropolitan racing venue, located in the suburb of Belmont approximately 10km east of the Perth CBD. Operated by the Western Australian Turf Club (WATC), Belmont hosts the summer racing carnival from November to March, complementing Ascot's spring carnival program.
The track is a left-handed circuit measuring 1800 metres in circumference with a 330-metre straight. The moderate straight suits on-pace runners, and the track provides a fair test for horses at metropolitan level. Belmont is a popular venue for horses building fitness during the Perth summer carnival.
Belmont hosts the Belmont Classic and Belmont Guineas in March — key races for three-year-olds that provide form guidance for the Perth autumn carnival. The venue also hosts regular metropolitan meetings throughout the summer season.
